我们所传的有谁信呢？耶和华的膀臂向谁显露呢？他在耶和华面前生长如嫩芽，像根出于干地。他无佳形美容；我们看见他的时候，也无美貌使我们羡慕他。

对他说，万军之耶和华如此说：看哪，那名称为大卫苗裔的，他要在本处长起来，并要建造耶和华的殿。他要建造耶和华的殿，并担负尊荣，坐在位上掌王权；又必在位上作祭司，使两职之间筹定和平。

又说：“神的国，我们可用什么比较呢？可用什么比喻表明呢？好像一粒芥菜种，种在地里的时候，虽比地上的百种都小，但种上以后，就长起来，比各样的菜都大，又长出大枝来，甚至天上的飞鸟可以宿在它的荫下。”

祭司长和法利赛人聚集公会，说：“这人行好些神迹，我们怎么办呢？若这样由着他，人人都要信他，罗马人也要来夺我们的地土和我们的百姓。”

当那列王在位的时候，天上的神必另立一国，永不败坏，也不归别国的人，却要打碎灭绝那一切国，这国必存到永远。你既看见非人手凿出来的一块石头从山而出，打碎金、银、铜、铁、泥，那就是至大的神把后来必有的事给王指明。这梦准是这样，这讲解也是确实的。”

他去和祭司长并守殿官商量，怎么可以把耶稣交给他们。

“我们当怎样办这两个人呢？因为他们诚然行了一件明显的神迹，凡住耶路撒冷的人都知道，我们也不能说没有。惟恐这事越发传扬在民间，我们必须恐吓他们，叫他们不再奉这名对人讲论。”

法利赛人彼此说：“看哪，你们是徒劳无益，世人都随从他去了。”

你观看，见有一块非人手凿出来的石头打在这像半铁半泥的脚上，把脚砸碎；于是金、银、铜、铁、泥都一同砸得粉碎，成如夏天禾场上的糠秕，被风吹散，无处可寻。打碎这像的石头变成一座大山，充满天下。

耶稣对那些来拿他的祭司长和守殿官并长老说：“你们带着刀棒出来拿我，如同拿强盗吗？

官长为百姓的缘故，想不出法子刑罚他们，又恐吓一番，把他们释放了。这是因众人为所行的奇事都归荣耀与神。
