往立於殿、以此維生之言、悉語於民、

“ Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said,“ and tell the people all about this new life.”

Simon Peter answered,“ Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life.

The Spirit is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have observed and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life—that life was revealed, and we have seen it and we testify and declare to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us—what we have seen and heard we also declare to you, so that you may also have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

Then at the LORD’s temple, in the chamber of Gemariah son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper courtyard at the opening of the New Gate of the LORD’s temple, in the hearing of all the people, Baruch read Jeremiah’s words from the scroll.

He will speak a message to you by which you and all your household will be saved.’

So Pashhur had the prophet Jeremiah beaten and put him in the stocks at the Upper Benjamin Gate in the LORD’s temple.The next day, when Pashhur released Jeremiah from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him,“ The LORD does not call you Pashhur, but Terror Is on Every Side,

When he entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching and said,“ By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority?”

“ Stand in the gate of the house of the LORD and there call out this word:‘ Hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who enter through these gates to worship the LORD.

I know that his command is eternal life. So the things that I speak, I speak just as the Father has told me.”

This is what the LORD says:“ Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and announce this word there.You are to say,‘ Hear the word of the LORD, king of Judah, you who sit on the throne of David— you, your officers, and your people who enter these gates.

because I have given them the words you gave me. They have received them and have known for certain that I came from you. They have believed that you sent me.

Jeremiah returned from Topheth, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy, stood in the courtyard of the LORD’s temple, and proclaimed to all the people,“ This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says:‘ I am about to bring on this city— and on all its cities— every disaster that I spoke against it, for they have become obstinate, not obeying my words.’”

“ Cry out loudly, don’t hold back! Raise your voice like a ram’s horn. Tell my people their transgression and the house of Jacob their sins.

This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and the one you have sent— Jesus Christ.
