做任何事都不要出于争竞，也不可出于虚荣，而要以谦卑的心，各人看别人比自己强；

所以你施舍的时候，不要在自己前面吹号，像伪善的人那样。他们在会堂里和大街上这样做，是为了要得人的荣耀。我确实地告诉你们：他们已经得到了他们的报偿。你施舍的时候，不要让你的左手知道右手所做的，
