Naaman gave them to two of his attendants who carried them ahead of Gehazi.When Gehazi came to the hill, he took the gifts from them and deposited them in the house. Then he dismissed the men, and they left.Gehazi came and stood by his master.“ Where did you go, Gehazi?” Elisha asked him. He replied,“ Your servant didn’t go anywhere.”

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.

So whenever you give to the poor, don’t sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be applauded by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward.But when you give to the poor, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
