聲名洋溢乎敘利亞。凡舁染恙、患病、負痛、中魔、顛癇、癱痿者至前、悉救治之。

有引癱瘓者至、四人舁之；以人眾、不得近。乃按耶穌之所在、撤其屋頂、洞開一穴、並其所臥之褥縋之而下。

為眾所悉、紛紛從之。耶穌欣然接納、為講天主國、需醫者醫之。

即之者甚眾、紛攜瘖盲跛廢等人、置耶穌足前、悉為治之。眾見瘖者言、殘者全、跛者行、瞽者明、乃翕然嘆服、而歸榮於義塞之天主。

既暮、人紛攜中魔者來、耶穌片言祛魔。凡有病者、亦悉為治之、莫不康復。

不然、則亦應憑予所行事蹟而信之。予切實語爾、凡置信於予者、必能行予之所行、且其所行將有大於斯者以予歸父故也。

求爾援手、俾治疾病、並托聖子耶穌之名以行神蹟。』
