And the rest of the Jews also joined with him in this hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was led astray with them by their hypocrisy.

They had a sharp disagreement, so that they parted company. Barnabas took along Mark and sailed away to Cyprus,

and when James, Cephas, and John, who had a reputation as pillars, recognized the grace that had been given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, agreeing that we would go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

Or do only Barnabas and I lack the right not to work?

So Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem when they had completed their mission, bringing along with them John Mark.Now there were these prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen( a close friend of Herod the tetrarch from childhood) and Saul.

They did so, sending their financial aid to the elders by Barnabas and Saul.

Some of the disciples from Caesarea came along with us too, and brought us to the house of Mnason of Cyprus, a disciple from the earliest times, with whom we were to stay.

When Paul and Barnabas had a major argument and debate with them, the church appointed Paul and Barnabas and some others from among them to go up to meet with the apostles and elders in Jerusalem about this point of disagreement.

But Barnabas took Saul, brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus.

A report about them came to the attention of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts,because he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith, and a significant number of people were brought to the Lord.Then Barnabas departed for Tarsus to look for Saul,

Now those who had been scattered because of the persecution that took place over Stephen went as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the message to no one but Jews.But there were some men from Cyprus and Cyrene among them who came to Antioch and began to speak to the Greeks too, proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus.

The whole group kept quiet and listened to Barnabas and Paul while they explained all the miraculous signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.

Barnabas wanted to bring John called Mark along with them too,
