十四年后，我和巴拿巴又去耶路撒冷，并带了提多同去。

西庇太的儿子雅各和雅各的兄弟约翰——耶稣给他们取名叫“半尼其”，就是“雷霆之子”的意思、

其他的犹太基督徒也跟着彼得装假，甚至连巴拿巴也随从了他们的虚伪。

二人激烈地争执起来，僵持不下，只好分道扬镳。巴拿巴和约翰·马可一同乘船去塞浦路斯。

当时被誉为教会柱石的雅各、彼得和约翰明白了上帝赐给我的恩典之后，就与我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼，让我们向外族人传福音，他们向受割礼的人传福音。

难道只有我和巴拿巴要自食其力吗？

巴拿巴和扫罗把款项送到以后，就带着约翰·马可从耶路撒冷回去。安提阿教会中有几位先知和教师，就是巴拿巴、绰号“黑人”的希缅、古利奈人路求、与分封王希律一同长大的马念以及扫罗。

他们捐完后，委托巴拿巴和扫罗将款项送交耶路撒冷教会的长老。

有几个凯撒利亚的门徒和我们一起去，并带我们到一个信主已久的塞浦路斯人拿孙家里住宿。

保罗和巴拿巴为这件事与他们激烈地辩论，最后大家决定派保罗、巴拿巴和几个当地的信徒上耶路撒冷去跟使徒和长老讨论这件事。

只有巴拿巴接待他，带他去见使徒，向他们陈述扫罗如何在路上遇见主，主如何对他说话，他又如何勇敢地在大马士革奉耶稣的名传道。

耶路撒冷教会的人听到这消息后，就派巴拿巴去安提阿。他到达后，看见上帝所赐的恩典，就万分高兴，劝勉他们要全心地忠于主。巴拿巴是个被圣灵充满、信心坚定的好人。那时信主的人大大增加。他又到大数去找扫罗，

司提凡殉道后，信徒们因受迫害而四散到各处，远至腓尼基、塞浦路斯和安提阿，他们只向那里的犹太人传福音。不过，有些塞浦路斯和古利奈的信徒到了安提阿之后，也向希腊人传讲主耶稣的福音。

众人都沉默不语，继续听巴拿巴和保罗叙述上帝借着他们在外族人中所行的神迹奇事。
