因為耶和華你的神，對於你手裡所作的一切事，都已經賜福給你；他也知道你怎樣走這大曠野；這四十年來，耶和華你們的神常與你同在，使你毫無缺乏。”’

我告訴你們，要用不義的錢財（“錢財”亞蘭文是“瑪門”）去結交朋友，好叫錢財無用的時候，他們可以接你們到永恆的帳棚裡。

當變賣你們所有的施捨給人，為自己製造不朽壞的錢囊，積蓄用不盡的財寶在天上，就是賊不能近、蟲不能蛀的地方。

耶穌又對他們說：“從前我差你們出去，沒有帶錢囊、口袋、鞋子，你們缺乏甚麼沒有？”他們說：“沒有。”

耶穌對他說：“如果你想要完全，就去變賣你所有的，分給窮人，你就必定有財寶在天上，而且你要來跟從我。”

耶穌看著他，就愛他，對他說：“你還缺少一件：去變賣你所有的，分給窮人，就必定有財寶在天上，而且你要來跟從我。”

這樣，就為自己在來世積聚財富，作美好的基礎，好叫他們能夠得著那真正的生命。

在父神看來，純潔無玷污的虔誠，就是照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不被世俗所污染。

他賣掉了自己的田地，把錢拿來，放在使徒的腳前。有一個人名叫亞拿尼亞，同他妻子撒非拉，把田產賣了。他私底下把錢留了一部分，妻子也知道這件事。他把其餘的一部分帶來，放在使徒的腳前。彼得說：“亞拿尼亞，為甚麼撒但充滿了你的心，使你欺騙聖靈，私底下把賣地的錢留了一部分呢？

使你們行事為人可以得到外人的尊敬，自己也不會有甚麼缺乏了。
