他們把田產家業變賣了，按照各人的需要把錢分給大家。

耶和華的聖民啊，你們要敬畏祂，因為敬畏祂的人一無所缺。壯獅也會忍饑挨餓，但尋求耶和華的人什麼福分都不缺。

你們的上帝耶和華使你們凡事蒙福，看顧著你們走過這遼闊的曠野，四十年來與你們同在，使你們一無所缺。』

「我告訴你們，要善用今世的錢財，廣結朋友。這樣，當錢財不管用時，他們會接你們到永遠的居所。

要變賣你們的家產去賙濟窮人，要為自己預備永不破損的錢袋，在天上積攢取之不盡的財寶，那裡沒有賊偷，也沒有蟲蛀。

耶穌又問門徒：「我派你們出去的時候，無錢袋、背包和鞋子，你們有任何缺乏嗎？」他們答道：「沒有。」

耶穌告訴他：「如果你想做到純全，就去變賣所有的產業，送給窮人，你就必有財寶存在天上，然後你來跟從我。」

耶穌望著他，心中愛他，便說：「你還有一件事沒有做，就是變賣你所有的產業，送給窮人，你必有財寶存在天上，然後你還要來跟從我。」

這樣，他們可以為自己的將來奠定美好的基礎，以便持守真正的生命。

在父上帝看來，純潔無瑕的虔誠是指照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且不讓自己被世俗玷污。

他賣掉自己的一塊田，把賣得的錢交給了使徒。一個名叫亞拿尼亞的人與妻子撒非喇也把田產賣了。他私自留下一部分錢，然後把其餘的拿去交給使徒，這件事他妻子也知道。彼得說：「亞拿尼亞，你為什麼讓撒旦充滿你的心，欺騙聖靈，私自留下一些賣地的錢呢？

這樣，你們可以得到外人的尊敬，不必依賴任何人。
