耶和华的圣民啊，你们要敬畏祂，因为敬畏祂的人一无所缺。壮狮也会忍饥挨饿，但寻求耶和华的人什么福分都不缺。

你们的上帝耶和华使你们凡事蒙福，看顾着你们走过这辽阔的旷野，四十年来与你们同在，使你们一无所缺。’

“我告诉你们，要善用今世的钱财，广结朋友。这样，当钱财不管用时，他们会接你们到永远的居所。

要变卖你们的家产去周济穷人，要为自己预备永不破损的钱袋，在天上积攒取之不尽的财宝，那里没有贼偷，也没有虫蛀。

耶稣又问门徒：“我派你们出去的时候，无钱袋、背包和鞋子，你们有任何缺乏吗？”他们答道：“没有。”

耶稣告诉他：“如果你想做到纯全，就去变卖所有的产业，送给穷人，你就必有财宝存在天上，然后你来跟从我。”

耶稣望着他，心中爱他，便说：“你还有一件事没有做，就是变卖你所有的产业，送给穷人，你必有财宝存在天上，然后你还要来跟从我。”

这样，他们可以为自己的将来奠定美好的基础，以便持守真正的生命。

在父上帝看来，纯洁无瑕的虔诚是指照顾患难中的孤儿寡妇，并且不让自己被世俗玷污。

他卖掉自己的一块田，把卖得的钱交给了使徒。一个名叫亚拿尼亚的人与妻子撒非喇也把田产卖了。他私自留下一部分钱，然后把其余的拿去交给使徒，这件事他妻子也知道。彼得说：“亚拿尼亚，你为什么让撒旦充满你的心，欺骗圣灵，私自留下一些卖地的钱呢？

这样，你们可以得到外人的尊敬，不必依赖任何人。
