「事實上，希律和本丟彼拉多，與外邦人和以色列子民果然在這城裡一同聚集，對付你所膏立的聖僕耶穌，

彼得卻說：「金子銀子我都沒有，只把我有的給你：奉拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名，起來走路吧！」

司提反滿有恩惠和能力，在民間行了許多大奇事和神蹟。

那麼，你們大家和所有以色列子民應當知道：這個人健全地站在你們面前，是藉著拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名。這位耶穌基督，你們把他釘上十字架，但是神使他從死人中復活了！

「各位以色列人哪，請聽這些話：拿撒勒人耶穌是神向你們所證實的人；神藉著他在你們中間行了大能、神蹟和奇事，正如你們自己所知道的。

主藉著使徒們的手，在民間行了很多神蹟和奇事。信徒們都同心合意地聚集在所羅門柱廊裡。

彼得叫大家都出去，然後跪下禱告，接著轉過身對著遺體，說：「塔比莎，你起來！」那婦人就睜開眼睛，看見彼得，而且坐了起來。彼得伸手扶她站起來，又叫聖徒們和寡婦們進來，把活過來的多卡絲交給他們。這事傳遍了整個約帕，許多人就信了主。

彼得對他說：「艾尼亞，耶穌基督使你痊癒。站起來，為你自己整理墊子吧！」艾尼亞立刻就站起來了。於是所有住在利達和沙崙的人看到他，就歸向了主。

每個人都起了敬畏之心。使徒們又行了很多奇事和神蹟。

人們甚至把病人抬到大街上來，放在床榻上或墊子上，為要在彼得走過來的時候，至少他的影子可以落在一些人身上。還有一群人帶著病人和被汙靈折磨的人，從耶路撒冷周圍的城鎮聚集而來，這些人都得了痊癒。

現在，基於對他名的信心，他的名就使你們所看見所認識的這個人健壯了；這由耶穌而來的信心，使他在你們眾人面前完全康復了。

耶穌對他說：「你們如果沒有看見神蹟和奇事，你們就絕不會信！」

門徒雅各和約翰看見了，就說：「主啊，你要我們吩咐火從天上降下來燒滅他們嗎？」耶穌轉過身來責備他們。於是他們往別的村子去了。

耶穌周圍的人看到要發生的事，就說：「主啊，我們要用刀砍嗎？」其中一個人向大祭司的奴僕砍去，削掉了他的右耳。耶穌應聲說：「住手，到此為止！」然後摸一下那個人的耳朵，使他痊癒了。
