友聞之、同心揚聲頌上帝曰、主乎、爾乃造天地海、及其中萬有者、

友聞言、一心揚聲籲上帝曰、主乃上帝、造天地海萬物者、

友聞之、一心揚聲籲天主曰、主乃天主、造天地海、及其中萬物者、

眾皆揚聲讚頌上主曰：『主！爾立天地、作江海、締造萬物、

When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.“ Sovereign Lord,” they said,“ you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.

要常常歡喜，不住地禱告，凡事感謝；因為這是神在基督耶穌裡對你們的旨意。

但是主站在我身邊，使我剛強，為要藉著我使傳道得以完成，讓所有外邦人都能聽見；我也從獅子口裡被救了出來。主將會救我脫離一切凶惡之事，並且救我進入他屬天的國度。願榮耀歸於他，直到永永遠遠！阿們。

弟兄們，我們不願意你們不明白我們在亞細亞省所遭受的患難：我們所受的壓力遠遠過於我們的承受能力，甚至連活下去的希望也沒有了。然而我們在自己裡面已經承受了死亡的判決，好讓我們不依靠自己，而依靠那使死人復活的神。他救我們脫離了如此致命的危險，並且將來要救我們——我們盼望他將來還要救我們。你們也能通過祈禱一同幫助我們，好讓許多人因著那臨到我們的恩惠為我們獻上感謝；這恩惠是通過許多人臨到我們的。

以雅各的神為自己的幫助、以耶和華神為自己盼望的，那人是蒙福的！造諸天、大地、海洋和其中一切的那一位，他必持守信實，直到永遠。

我的靈魂哪，你要靜默，唯獨等候神，因為我的盼望從他而來。唯有他是我的磐石、我的救恩、我的庇護所，我就不致動搖。我的救恩、我的榮耀都在於神，我堅固的磐石、我的避難所都在神裡面。你們作子民的，要時時依靠他，在他面前傾心吐意，神是我們的避難所！細拉

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；

至於我，我要向神呼求，耶和華必拯救我。傍晚、清晨、正午，我都要悲訴哀鳴，他必垂聽我的聲音。他救贖我的性命脫離攻擊我的人，使我得享平安，儘管敵對我的人眾多。

他們就滿腔怒火，彼此商量到底怎麼對付耶穌。就在那些日子裡，耶穌有一次出去到山上禱告；他整夜向神禱告。

至於我，我困苦傷痛；神哪，願你的救恩將我安置在高處！我要用詩歌讚美神的名，以感謝來尊他為大；

願那些控告我的人穿上羞愧，披戴恥辱如同披戴外袍。我要用口大大稱謝耶和華，在眾人中間讚美他；因為耶和華站在貧窮人的右邊，要拯救他脫離那些定他死罪的人。

約在半夜，保羅和賽拉斯禱告、唱詩讚美神，其他的囚犯們都側耳聽著。
