When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God.“ Sovereign Lord,” they said,“ you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.

要常常欢喜，不住地祷告，凡事感谢；因为这是神在基督耶稣里对你们的旨意。

但是主站在我身边，使我刚强，为要藉着我使传道得以完成，让所有外邦人都能听见；我也从狮子口里被救了出来。主将会救我脱离一切凶恶之事，并且救我进入他属天的国度。愿荣耀归于他，直到永永远远！阿们。

弟兄们，我们不愿意你们不明白我们在亚细亚省所遭受的患难：我们所受的压力远远过于我们的承受能力，甚至连活下去的希望也没有了。然而我们在自己里面已经承受了死亡的判决，好让我们不依靠自己，而依靠那使死人复活的神。他救我们脱离了如此致命的危险，并且将来要救我们——我们盼望他将来还要救我们。你们也能通过祈祷一同帮助我们，好让许多人因着那临到我们的恩惠为我们献上感谢；这恩惠是通过许多人临到我们的。

以雅各的神为自己的帮助、以耶和华神为自己盼望的，那人是蒙福的！造诸天、大地、海洋和其中一切的那一位，他必持守信实，直到永远。

我的灵魂哪，你要安静，唯独等候神，因为我的盼望从他而来。唯有他是我的磐石、我的救恩、我的庇护所，我就不致动摇。我的救恩、我的荣耀都在于神，我坚固的磐石、我的避难所都在神里面。你们作子民的，要时时依靠他，在他面前倾心吐意，神是我们的避难所！细拉

“我，是我安慰你们；你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被弃如草芥的世人；

至于我，我要向神呼求，耶和华必拯救我。傍晚、清晨、正午，我都要悲诉哀鸣，他必垂听我的声音。他救赎我的性命脱离攻击我的人，使我得享平安，尽管敌对我的人众多。

他们就满腔怒火，彼此商量到底怎么对付耶稣。就在那些日子里，耶稣有一次出去到山上祷告；他整夜向神祷告。

至于我，我困苦伤痛；神哪，愿你的救恩将我安置在高处！我要用诗歌赞美神的名，以感谢来尊他为大；

愿那些控告我的人穿上羞愧，披戴耻辱如同披戴外袍。我要用口大大称谢耶和华，在众人中间赞美他；因为耶和华站在贫穷人的右边，要拯救他脱离那些定他死罪的人。

约在半夜，保罗和赛拉斯祷告、唱诗赞美神，其他的囚犯们都侧耳听着。
