眾皆揚聲讚頌上主曰：『主！爾立天地、作江海、締造萬物、

因为耶和华用六天造了天、地、海和其中的万物，第七天便休息了，所以耶和华赐福这日，把它定为圣日。

“主耶和华啊，看啊，你伸出大能的臂膀创造天地，你无所不能。

“你，唯有你是耶和华！你造了天、天上的天和天上的万象、地和地上的一切、海和海中的一切，你赐给他们生命。众天军都敬拜你。

要常常喜乐，不断地祷告，凡事谢恩，因为这是上帝在基督耶稣里给你们的旨意。

然而主站在我身旁加给我力量，使我可以把福音清楚地传给外族人。主把我从狮子口里救了出来。主必救我脱离一切凶险，带我进入祂的天国。愿荣耀归给上帝，直到永永远远。阿们！

弟兄姊妹，希望你们知道我们在亚细亚所遭遇的苦难。那时我们承受极大的压力，超过了我们的极限，甚至连活命的指望都没了。我们心里觉得必死无疑，这使我们不倚靠自己，只倚靠使死人复活的上帝。祂曾救我们脱离死亡的威胁，将来还要救我们。我们深信祂必继续救我们。你们也要用祈祷帮助我们，使恩典借着许多人的祷告临到我们，众人便因此而为我们感恩。

蒙雅各的上帝相助、仰望上帝耶和华的人有福了！耶和华创造了天、地、海和其中的万物，祂永远信实可靠。

我的心啊！要默默等候上帝，因为我的盼望从祂而来。唯有祂才是我的磐石，我的拯救，我的堡垒，我必不致动摇。上帝是我的拯救者，是我的荣耀，祂是我的坚固磐石，是我的避难所。众百姓啊，要时刻信靠上帝，向祂倾心吐意，因为祂是我们的避难所。（细拉）

祷告说：“坐在二基路伯天使之上、以色列的上帝耶和华啊，唯有你是天下万国的上帝，你创造了天地。

你们要歌颂耶和华！要赞美耶和华！因为祂从恶人手中救出穷人。

唯有耶和华是真神，是永活的上帝，是永恒的君王。祂一发怒，大地便震动，万国都无法承受。你们要这样对他们说：“那些神明没有创造天地，它们将从天下消亡。”耶和华施展大能，用智慧创造大地和世界，巧妙地铺展穹苍。

耶和华说：“安慰你们的是我，是我。你为什么要害怕难逃一死、生命如草芥的世人呢？

但我要呼求耶和华上帝，祂必拯救我。晚上、早晨和中午，我发出痛苦的呼求，祂必垂听。虽然许多人攻击我，祂必救我平安脱离险境。

我们的上帝耶和华啊，现在求你从亚述王手中拯救我们，让天下万国都知道唯有你是耶和华。”

但法利赛人和律法教师却怒火中烧，开始商议对付耶稣的办法。一天，耶稣到山上整夜向上帝祷告。

上帝啊，我陷入痛苦和忧伤，求你拯救我，保护我。我要用歌声赞美上帝的名，以感恩的心尊崇祂。

愿诬告我的人满面羞辱，无地自容。我要竭力颂扬耶和华，在众人面前赞美祂。因为祂保护贫穷的人，拯救他们脱离置他们于死地的人。

半夜，保罗和西拉祷告、唱诗赞美上帝，其他的囚犯都侧耳倾听。
