After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened.

於是守殿官同差役去，把使徒帶來，並沒有用暴力，因為怕人民，恐怕他們被人用石頭打死。

祭司長和經學士直想法子要怎樣殺掉耶穌；他們是懼怕民眾的。

羣眾看見，就起了敬畏的心，將榮耀歸與上帝，因為他將這樣的權柄也賜給人。

經學士和祭司長們想法子要就在那時候下手拿耶穌，卻懼怕民眾；他們覺得他是指着他們來說這比喻的。

他們想法子要抓住他，卻懼怕羣眾，因為眾人都以他為神言人。

若說「由於人」呢，眾民就會用石頭打死我們；因為他們都確信約翰是神言人。』

但是他們說：『當節期中不可，恐怕民間生亂。』

耶穌天天在殿院裏教訓人。祭司長經學士和民間的首領、想法子要殺滅他，卻尋不出所可行的；因為眾民都緊纏着耶穌來聽他。

羣眾之所以去迎接耶穌的、是因為他們聽說他行了這件神迹。於是法利賽人就彼此說：『可見你們是無濟於事的；你看，世界都去跟着他了！』

以致那羣人看見了啞巴能說話，殘廢的康健，瘸子能走路，瞎子能看見，都希奇，將榮耀歸與以色列的上帝。

會眾聽從了迦瑪列，便把使徒叫來，打了一頓，囑咐他們不可奉耶穌的名講論，就給釋放了。

彼得卻說：『銀子金子我都沒有；我所有的、我才給你：靠着拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名、你走路吧！』就拉着他的右手，扶他起來；他的腳和踝子骨立時得健壯；就跳起來站着，又走路，同他們進了殿，走着跳着，頌讚上帝。眾民都看見他又走路又頌讚上帝。

鬼被趕出，啞巴就說出話來。羣眾都希奇說：『在以色列中從沒有見過這樣的事呀。』

驚奇抓住了眾人，他們就將榮耀歸與上帝，充滿着敬畏的心、說：『今天我們看見了不可思議的事了。』

但是為要避免這事越發散布在民間，我們總要恐嚇他們，叫他們不可再奉這個名對人講論。』

耶穌說了這些話，所有敵對他的人都覺得慚愧；全羣的人因他所作一切光榮的事、盡都歡喜。
