After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened.

Every day He was teaching in the temple complex. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to destroy Him,but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people were captivated by what they heard.

This is also why the crowd met Him, because they heard He had done this sign.Then the Pharisees said to one another,“ You see? You’ve accomplished nothing. Look— the world has gone after Him!”

So the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the deformed restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they gave glory to the God of Israel.

After they called in the apostles and had them flogged, they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them.

But Peter said,“ I don’t have silver or gold, but what I have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”Then, taking him by the right hand he raised him up, and at once his feet and ankles became strong.So he jumped up, stood, and started to walk, and he entered the temple complex with them— walking, leaping, and praising God.All the people saw him walking and praising God,

When the demon had been driven out, the man spoke. And the crowds were amazed, saying,“ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

Then everyone was astounded, and they were giving glory to God. And they were filled with awe and said,“ We have seen incredible things today!”

However, so this does not spread any further among the people, let’s threaten them against speaking to anyone in this name again.”

When He had said these things, all His adversaries were humiliated, but the whole crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things He was doing.
