可是彼得和約翰回答說：「聽從你們過於聽從神，在神面前是理所當然的嗎？你們自己判斷吧！

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹、過於聽上帝、在上帝前為義否、爾其審之、

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹、而過於聽上帝、在上帝前、義乎、爾自審焉、

彼得約翰曰、聽爾曹過於聽天主、在天主前義否、爾自審之、

伯鐸祿若望曰：『順爾旨而背天主、爾自分於理有當否？

But Peter and John replied,“ Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges!

But Peter and John replied,“ Which is right from God’s point of view? Should we listen to you? Or should we listen to God? You be the judges!

But Peter and John replied,“ Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?

Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it’s right in the sight of God for us to listen to you rather than to God, you decide;

But Peter and John answered and said to them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, make your own judgment;

But Peter and John answered and said to them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it is right in the sight of God to hearken unto you rather than unto God, judge ye:

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it’s right in the sight of God for us to listen to you rather than to God, you decide;

But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

But Peter and John replied,“ Whether it is right before God to obey you rather than God, you decide,

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves,

But Peter and the apostles answered,“ We must obey God rather than men.

But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live.

I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say.

But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God’s word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

And King Ahaz commanded Uriah the priest, saying,“ On the great altar burn the morning burnt offering and the evening grain offering and the king’s burnt offering and his grain offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their grain offering and their drink offering. And throw on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice, but the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by.”

But when he was strong, he grew proud, to his destruction. For he was unfaithful to the Lord his God and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.But Azariah the priest went in after him, with eighty priests of the Lord who were men of valor,and they withstood King Uzziah and said to him,“ It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary, for you have done wrong, and it will bring you no honor from the Lord God.”Then Uzziah was angry. Now he had a censer in his hand to burn incense, and when he became angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead in the presence of the priests in the house of the Lord, by the altar of incense.And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead! And they rushed him out quickly, and he himself hurried to go out, because the Lord had struck him.

Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

For you have kept the statutes of Omri, and all the works of the house of Ahab; and you have walked in their counsels, that I may make you a desolation, and your inhabitants a hissing; so you shall bear the scorn of my people.”

Do you indeed decree what is right, you gods? Do you judge the children of man uprightly?

They said,“ Caesar’s.” Then he said to them,“ Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because he was determined to go after filth.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

But Micaiah said,“ As the Lord lives, what the Lord says to me, that I will speak.”

And he will give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and made Israel to sin.”

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that the child was beautiful, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict.

One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast.And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying,“ Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months.It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven.Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.If anyone has an ear, let him hear:If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice,“ If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Then this thing became a sin, for the people went as far as Dan to be before one.

And the men of his city, the elders and the leaders who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent word to them. As it was written in the letters that she had sent to them,

Now therefore hear the word of the Lord.“ You say,‘ Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not preach against the house of Isaac.’

have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
