For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,‘ The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.

He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone.

This is the‘ stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’

He is the stone which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner.

The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.

He said to them,“ Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?

Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.

Therefore I testify to you today that I am clean from the blood of all men,for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they will not listen to me; for all the house of Israel are obstinate and hard- hearted.Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”Moreover he said to me,“ Son of man, receive in your heart and hear with your ears all my words that I speak to you.Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them,‘ This is what the Lord Yahweh says,’ whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.

“ So you, son of man: I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warnings from me.When I tell the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way; he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.

Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,

“ Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments. They delight to draw near to God.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.
