This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, that has become the cornerstone.

This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.

For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,‘ The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’

This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.

He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone.

This is the‘ stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’

He is the stone which was set at nought of you the builders, which was made the head of the corner.

This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.

He is‘ the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’

The stone which the builders discarded has become the cornerstone.This is the LORD’s work. We consider it amazing!

Therefore, this is what the sovereign master, the LORD, says:“ Look, I am laying a stone in Zion, an approved stone, set in place as a precious cornerstone for the foundation. The one who maintains his faith will not panic.

because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Have you not read this scripture:‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”Now they wanted to arrest him( but they feared the crowd), because they realized that he told this parable against them. So they left him and went away.

Therefore he told me,“ These signify the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by strength and not by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD who rules over all.”“ What are you, you great mountain? This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

For it says in scripture,“ Look, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and priceless cornerstone, and whoever believes in him will never be put to shame.”So you who believe see his value, but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,and a stumbling- stone and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

As for the stone I have set before Joshua– on the one stone there are seven eyes. I am about to engrave an inscription on it,’ says the LORD who rules over all,‘ to the effect that I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” When the people heard this, they said,“ May this never happen!”But Jesus looked straight at them and said,“ Then what is the meaning of that which is written:‘ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?Everyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”

When I say to the wicked,“ You will certainly die,” and you do not warn him– you do not speak out to warn the wicked to turn from his wicked deed and wicked lifestyle so that he may live– that wicked person will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.But as for you, if you warn the wicked and he does not turn from his wicked deed and from his wicked lifestyle, he will die for his iniquity but you will have saved your own life.

The wicked person flees when there is no one pursuing, but the righteous person is as confident as a lion.

But you, son of man, do not fear them, and do not fear their words– even though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions– do not fear their words and do not be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house!You must speak my words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.

He said to them,“ Elijah does indeed come first, and restores all things. And why is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be despised?

Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They killed those who foretold long ago the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become!

Therefore I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of you all.For I did not hold back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God.

But the house of Israel is unwilling to listen to you, because they are not willing to listen to me, for the whole house of Israel is hard-headed and hard-hearted.“ I have made your face adamant to match their faces, and your forehead hard to match their foreheads.I have made your forehead harder than flint– like diamond! Do not fear them or be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house.”And he said to me,“ Son of man, take all my words that I speak to you to heart and listen carefully.Go to the exiles, to your fellow countrymen, and speak to them– say to them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says,’ whether they pay attention or not.”

“ As for you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you must warn them on my behalf.When I say to the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you must certainly die,’ and you do not warn the wicked about his behavior, the wicked man will die for his iniquity, but I will hold you accountable for his death.But if you warn the wicked man to change his behavior, and he refuses to change, he will die for his iniquity, but you have saved your own life.

Therefore, since we have such a hope, we behave with great boldness,

“ Shout loudly! Don’t be quiet! Yell as loud as a trumpet! Confront my people with their rebellious deeds; confront Jacob’s family with their sin!They seek me day after day; they want to know my requirements, like a nation that does what is right and does not reject the law of their God. They ask me for just decrees; they want to be near God.

Therefore, since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, we do not become discouraged.
