When all the people saw him walking and praising God,

saying,“ What should we do with these men? For it is plain to all who live in Jerusalem that a notable miraculous sign has come about through them, and we cannot deny it.

After threatening them further, they released them, for they could not find how to punish them on account of the people, because they were all praising God for what had happened.

When he said this all his adversaries were humiliated, but the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things he was doing.

So when the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language,“ The gods have come down to us in human form!”

“ I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.”And immediately the man stood up, took his stretcher, and went out in front of them all. They were all amazed and glorified God, saying,“ We have never seen anything like this!”
