When all the people saw him walking and praising God,

saying,“ What should we do with these men? For an obvious sign has been done through them, clear to everyone living in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

After threatening them further, they released them. They found no way to punish them because the people were all giving glory to God over what had been done.

When he had said these things, all his adversaries were humiliated, but the whole crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things he was doing.

When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted, saying in the Lycaonian language,“ The gods have come down to us in human form!”

“ I tell you: get up, take your mat, and go home.”Immediately he got up, took the mat, and went out in front of everyone. As a result, they were all astounded and gave glory to God, saying,“ We have never seen anything like this!”
