耶穌對他說：『起來，拿起你的鋪蓋來，走路吧！』那人立刻得康健，就拿起他的鋪蓋來，走路了。那天是安息日。

他立時看見，就跟着耶穌，將榮耀歸與上帝。眾民看見了，也都把頌讚獻與上帝。

這些事以後，耶穌遇見那人在殿裏，就對他說：『你看，你已經得了康健，別再犯罪了，免得患的更厲害。』
