“在那一天，你们当欢喜，当欢然跳跃，因为看哪，你们在天上的报偿是大的。要知道，那些人的祖先也是同样对待先知们的。

我的灵魂哪，你要颂赞耶和华！在我里面的一切，都要颂赞他的圣名。我的灵魂哪，你要颂赞耶和华！不要忘记他的一切恩惠——

其中有一个人看见自己得了痊愈，就回来大声地荣耀神，并且把脸伏在耶稣脚前，感谢他。这人是个撒马利亚人。耶稣回答说：“被洁净的不是有十个人吗？另外九个在哪里呢？除了这个外邦人，难道没有人回来把荣耀归给神吗？”

耶稣对他说：“起来，拿起你的垫子走路吧！”那个人立刻痊愈了，就拿起他的垫子开始走路。那天是安息日，

他立刻重见光明，于是跟随耶稣，一路上荣耀神。民众都看到了，就赞美神。

这些事以后，耶稣在圣殿里找到他，对他说：“看，你已经痊愈了。不要再犯罪，免得更严重的事临到你。”
