其中一个发现自己痊愈了，就跑回来，高声赞美上帝，又俯伏在耶稣的脚前连连称谢。这人是撒玛利亚人。耶稣说：“被医好的不是有十个人吗？其他九个呢？回来赞美称颂上帝的只有这个外族人吗？”

耶稣对他说：“起来，拿起你的垫子走吧！”那人立刻痊愈了，拿起垫子开始行走。那天正好是安息日，

他立刻得见光明，并跟随耶稣，一路赞美上帝。目睹这事的人也都赞美上帝。

后来，耶稣在圣殿里遇见他，对他说：“现在你已经完全好了，别再犯罪了，免得你遭遇更不幸的事。”
