Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you.

摩西有言、「上主必自爾中、立一先知、正如立吾；

For Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you.

For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.

Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.

Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

For Moses indeed said to the fathers,‘ The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you– from your fellow Israelites; you must listen to him.This accords with what happened at Horeb in the day of the assembly. You asked the LORD your God:“ Please do not make us hear the voice of the LORD our God any more or see this great fire any more lest we die.”The LORD then said to me,“ What they have said is good.I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them whatever I command.I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in my name.

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’

But when the appropriate time had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets,in these last days he has spoken to us in a son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.

“ I tell you the solemn truth, the one who hears my message and believes the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned, but has crossed over from death to life.

Then two men, Moses and Elijah, began talking with him.They appeared in glorious splendor and spoke about his departure that he was about to carry out at Jerusalem.Now Peter and those with him were quite sleepy, but as they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.Then as the men were starting to leave, Peter said to Jesus,“ Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah”– not knowing what he was saying.As he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.Then a voice came from the cloud, saying,“ This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him!”

Then Elijah appeared before them along with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.So Peter said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters– one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”( For they were afraid, and he did not know what to say.)Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came from the cloud,“ This is my one dear Son. Listen to him!”

I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must happen very soon. He made it clear by sending his angel to his servant John,

So Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, I will make three shelters– one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my one dear Son, in whom I take great delight. Listen to him!”

To them belong the patriarchs, and from them, by human descent, came the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever! Amen.

Pay attention and come to me! Listen, so you can live! Then I will make an unconditional covenantal promise to you, just like the reliable covenantal promises I made to David.Look, I made him a witness to nations, a ruler and commander of nations.”

but we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God’s grace he would experience death on behalf of everyone.For it was fitting for him, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through sufferings.For indeed he who makes holy and those being made holy all have the same origin, and so he is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the assembly I will praise you.”Again he says,“ I will be confident in him,” and again,“ Here I am, with the children God has given me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death( that is, the devil),and set free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death.For surely his concern is not for angels, but he is concerned for Abraham’s descendants.Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ.

And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

You study the scriptures thoroughly because you think in them you possess eternal life, and it is these same scriptures that testify about me,but you are not willing to come to me so that you may have life.“ I do not accept praise from people,but I know you, that you do not have the love of God within you.I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me. If someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.How can you believe, if you accept praise from one another and don’t seek the praise that comes from the only God?“ Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. The one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope.If you believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me.But if you do not believe what Moses wrote, how will you believe my words?”

He said to them,“ What things?”“ The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene,” they replied,“ a man who, with his powerful deeds and words, proved to be a prophet before God and all the people;

Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

Then Jesus spoke out again,“ I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, because it is impossible that a prophet should be killed outside Jerusalem.’
