Moses said,‘ The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you.

昔摩西語我列祖曰、主爾之天主、將於爾兄弟中、立一先知如我、凡其所諭爾者、爾當聽之、

摩西有言、「上主必自爾中、立一先知、正如立吾；

For Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me. He will be one of your own people. You must listen to everything he tells you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your own people. Listen carefully to everything he tells you.’

Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to everything he tells you.

For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.

Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.

Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you.

For Moses indeed said to the fathers,‘ The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

“ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen; to him you shall listen.This is in accordance with everything that you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, saying,‘ Do not let me hear the voice of the Lord my God again, and do not let me see this great fire anymore, or I will die!’And the Lord said to me,‘ They have spoken well.I will raise up for them a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them everything that I command him.And it shall come about that whoever does not listen to My words which he speaks in My name, I Myself will require it of him.

This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen.’

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world.

“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

And behold, two men were talking with Him; and they were Moses and Elijah,who, appearing in glory, were speaking of His departure, which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.Now Peter and his companions had been overcome with sleep; but when they were fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who were standing with Him.And as these two men were leaving Him, Peter said to Jesus,“ Master, it is good that we are here; and let’s make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”— not realizing what he was saying.But while he was saying this, a cloud formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.And then a voice came from the cloud, saying,“ This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”

And Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.Peter responded and* said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it is good that we are here; let’s make three tabernacles, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”For he did not know how to reply; for they became terrified.Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud:“ This is My beloved Son; listen to Him!”

I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond servant John,

Peter responded and said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good that we are here. If You want, I will make three tabernacles here: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said,“ This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”

whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies shown to David.Behold, I have made him a witness to the peoples, A leader and commander for the peoples.

But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of His suffering death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the originator of their salvation through sufferings.For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,saying,“ I will proclaim Your name to My brothers, In the midst of the assembly I will sing Your praise.”And again,“ I will put My trust in Him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.For clearly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendants of Abraham.Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brothers so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him,

You examine the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is those very Scriptures that testify about Me;and yet you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.I do not receive glory from people;but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.How can you believe, when you accept glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have put your hope.For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

And He said to them,“ What sort of things?” And they said to Him,“ Those about Jesus the Nazarene, who proved to be a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people,

For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.

For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying,“ I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Nevertheless I must go on My journey today and tomorrow and the next day; for it cannot be that a prophet would perish outside Jerusalem.
