Moses said,‘ The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you.

摩西有言、「上主必自爾中、立一先知、正如立吾；

For Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you.

For Moses truly said to the fathers,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.

Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.

Moses said: The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to Him in everything He will say to you.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.

Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must obey him in everything he tells you.

For Moses indeed said to the fathers,‘ The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

“ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers— it is to him you shall listen—just as you desired of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said,‘ Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.’And the Lord said to me,‘ They are right in what they have spoken.I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers.’

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law,

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

And behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah,who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they became fully awake they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him.And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus,“ Master, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah”— not knowing what he said.As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.And a voice came out of the cloud, saying,“ This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!”

And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.And Peter said to Jesus,“ Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud,“ This is my beloved Son; listen to him.”

I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,

And Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.”He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.

But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.For he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one source. That is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers,saying,“ I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”And again,“ I will put my trust in him.” And again,“ Behold, I and the children God has given me.”Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham.Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life.I do not receive glory from people.But I know that you do not have the love of God within you.I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name, you will receive him.How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the only God?Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope.For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

And he said to them,“ What things?” And they said to him,“ Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

Therefore we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it.

For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the day following, for it cannot be that a prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.’
