The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.

I will therefore chastise him, and release[ him].( For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this[ man], and release unto us Barabbas:( Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.But they cried, saying, Crucify[ him], crucify him.And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let[ him] go.And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.

But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ?[ They] all say unto him, Let him be crucified.And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but[ that] rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed[ his] hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye[ to it].Then answered all the people, and said, His blood[ be] on us, and on our children.

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and[ that] they had done these things unto him.

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and[ he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal[ him].

And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify[ him]: and the third day he shall rise again.

I[ am] he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,Until I make thy foes thy footstool.Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set[ him] at his own right hand in the heavenly[ places],Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:And hath put all[ things] under his feet, and gave him[ to be] the head over all[ things] to the church,Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

And from Jesus Christ,[ who is] the faithful witness,[ and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled[ them] in condemning[ him].And though they found no cause of death[ in him], yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of[ things] in heaven, and[ things] in earth, and[ things] under the earth;And[ that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ[ is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:That all[ men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.He[ is] the LORD our God: his judgments[ are] in all the earth.He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word[ which] he commanded to a thousand generations.Which[ covenant] he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law,[ and] to Israel[ for] an everlasting covenant:

Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.

( But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet[ given]; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.

Then said Pilate to the chief priests and[ to] the people, I find no fault in this man.

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew[ it] unto you.All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew[ it] unto you.
