有司復威嚇而釋之、以民故、無由刑之、蓋眾因其所為、而歸榮上帝也、因此異蹟而得愈者、其年已逾四旬矣、○

遂皆駭異猶豫、相問曰、此何意耶、

當眾奇其所行、耶穌謂門徒曰、

耶穌曰、非斯人獲罪、亦非其父母、惟於彼以顯上帝作為耳、

蓋父愛子、悉以己所行者示之、且將以大於此者示之、令爾奇異焉、
