He saw the strips of linen lying there,as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.( They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) (niv)

Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,“ Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.” (niv)

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon,for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.Jesus called out with a loud voice,“ Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. (niv)
