One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer— at three in the afternoon.

Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.

About the ninth hour of the day he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God who had just come in and said to him,“ Cornelius!”

Now when the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent them Peter and John,

Cornelius said,“ Four days ago to this hour, I was praying in my house during the ninth hour; and behold, a man stood before me in shining clothing,

Six days later, Jesus* took with Him Peter and James, and his brother John, and* led them up on a high mountain by themselves.

And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house( and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

But someone came and reported to them,“ The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple area and teaching the people!”

while I was still speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision previously, came to me in my extreme weariness about the time of the evening offering.

and were continually in the temple praising God.

Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved* said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment( for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.

And He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee with Him, and began to be grieved and distressed.

Lying back on Jesus’ chest was one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.So Simon Peter* nodded to this disciple and* said to him,“ Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.”He then simply leaned back on Jesus’ chest and* said to Him,“ Lord, who is it?”

So she* ran and* came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and* said to them,“ They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him.”So Peter and the other disciple left, and they were going to the tomb.The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead, faster than Peter, and came to the tomb first;and he stooped to look in, and* saw the linen wrappings lying there; however he did not go in.So Simon Peter also* came, following him, and he entered the tomb; and he* looked at the linen wrappings lying there,and the face cloth which had been on His head, not lying with the linen wrappings but folded up in a place by itself.So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed.For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.

And so Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,“ Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.”

The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight;

Then at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, Elijah the prophet approached and said,“ Lord, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, today let it be known that You are God in Israel and that I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.

Truly, truly I tell you, when you were younger, you used to put on your belt and walk wherever you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will put your belt on you, and bring you where you do not want to go.”Now He said this, indicating by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had said this, He* said to him,“ Follow Me!”Peter turned around and* saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them— the one who also had leaned back on His chest at the supper and said,“ Lord, who is the one who is betraying You?”So Peter, upon seeing him,* said to Jesus,“ Lord, and what about this man?”Jesus* said to him,“ If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!”

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the entire land until the ninth hour,because the sun stopped shining; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said,“ Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died.

You shall offer the one lamb in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight;

and recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.
