島夷見蝮懸於保羅之手、相語曰、其人必殺人者、雖得救於海、理不容其生也、

土人見蝮懸其手上、相語曰：『是人必為一兇徒。雖自海中逃生、而天理仍不容其生。』

When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other,“ This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.”

The people of the island saw the snake hanging from his hand. They said to one another,“ This man must be a murderer. He escaped from the sea. But the female god Justice won’t let him live.”

When the native people saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another,“ No doubt this man is a murderer. Though he has escaped from the sea, Justice has not allowed him to live.”

The people of the island saw it hanging from his hand and said to each other,“ A murderer, no doubt! Though he escaped the sea, justice will not permit him to live.”

And when the barbarians saw the venomous creature hanging from his hand, they said one to another, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped from the sea, yet Justice hath not suffered to live.

When the local people saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another,“ This man is probably a murderer, and though he has escaped the sea, Justice does not allow him to live!”

And when the barbarians saw the[ venomous] beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

When the local people saw the creature hanging from Paul’s hand, they said to one another,“ No doubt this man is a murderer! Although he has escaped from the sea, Justice herself has not allowed him to live!”

When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another,“ No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped from the sea, yet Justice has not allowed to live.”

从前西罗亚楼倒塌，压死了十八个人，你们以为那些人比一切住在耶路撒冷的人更有罪吗？

耶稣对他们说：“你们以为这些加利利人比其他的加利利人更有罪，所以受这害吗？

如此，地上所有义人流的血都归到你们身上，从义人亚伯的血起，直到你们在圣所和祭坛中间所杀的巴拉加的儿子撒迦利亚的血为止。

不要凭外表断定是非，总要按公平断定是非。”

背负流人血之罪的，必逃跑直到地府；愿无人帮助他！

因为，看哪，耶和华从他的居所出来，要惩罚地上居民的罪孽。地必露出其中的血，不再掩盖被杀的人。

这素来欢乐、安然居住的城，心里说：“惟有我，除我以外再没有别的”，现在竟然荒凉，成为野兽躺卧之处！凡经过的人都必摇着手嗤笑它。

当地人非常友善地接待我们；因为正在下雨，天气又冷，他们就生了火欢迎我们众人。

耶和华上帝所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的走兽更狡猾。蛇对女人说：“上帝岂是真说，你们不可吃园中任何树上所出的吗？”

旷野的走兽躺卧在那里，咆哮的动物挤满栖身之所；鸵鸟住在那里，山羊鬼魔也在那里跳舞。土狼必在它的宫殿呼号，野狗在华美的殿里吼叫。巴比伦的时辰临近了，它的日子必不长久。

保罗竟把那毒蛇甩在火里，并没有受伤。

他们彼此说：“我们在弟弟身上实在犯了罪。他哀求我们的时候，我们看见他的痛苦，却不肯听，所以这场苦难临到我们。”吕便回答他们说：“我不是对你们说过，不可伤害那孩子吗？只是你们不肯听，看哪，他的血在追讨了。”

耶稣往前走的时候，看见一个生来就失明的人。门徒问耶稣：“拉比，这人生来失明，是谁犯了罪？是这人还是他的父母呢？”

野地的走兽要尊敬我，野狗和鸵鸟也必尊敬我。因我使旷野有水，使沙漠有河，好赐给我的百姓、我的选民喝。

那犯死罪的杀人犯，你们不可收赎价来代替他的命；他必须被处死。那逃到逃城的人，你们不可向他收赎价，使他在大祭司未死以先回本地居住。这样，你们就不会污秽所住之地，因为血能使地污秽；若有血流在地上，除非流那杀人者的血，否则那地就不得洁净。你们不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在当中的地，因为我—耶和华住在以色列人中间。”

流你们血、害你们命的，我必向他追讨；我要向一切走兽追讨，向人和向人的弟兄追讨人命。凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因为上帝造人，是照自己的形像造的。

至于胆怯的、不信的、可憎的、杀人的、淫乱的、行邪术的、拜偶像的和一切说谎话的人，他们将在烧着硫磺的火湖里有份；这是第二次的死。”

该隐与他弟弟亚伯说话。二人正在田间时，该隐起来攻击他弟弟亚伯，把他杀了。耶和华对该隐说：“你弟弟亚伯在哪里？”他说：“我不知道！我岂是看守我弟弟的吗？”耶和华说：“你做了什么事呢？你弟弟血的声音从地里向我哀号。现在你必从这地受诅咒，这地开了口，从你手里接受你弟弟的血。

众人都回答：“他的血归到我们和我们的子孙身上！”
