不过这一点我向您承认：我是按照他们称为‘异端’的这道，如此事奉我先祖的神，因为我相信一切合乎律法书和先知书上所记载的事；

你们在外邦人中，要有良好的品行；这样，当他们诽谤你们是作恶之人的时候，因看到你们美好的行为，就在神临到的日子荣耀神。

你们如果因基督的名受责骂，就是蒙福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，住在你们身上。你们当中不可有人因杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦；但如果有人因为是基督徒而受苦，他不应该感到羞耻，反要奉这名来荣耀神；

西面祝福他们，并对孩子的母亲玛丽亚说：“看哪，这孩子注定要使以色列中许多人跌倒、许多人兴起，并要成为一个遭受反对的标记，

不过要以温柔、敬畏的心答复，并且持守无愧的良心，以致谁诋毁你们在基督里的良好品行，谁就要在你们受到诽谤的事上蒙羞。

把两个人带到官长们面前，说：“这些人是犹太人，在扰乱我们的城市，传讲我们罗马人不可以接受、也不能遵守的规矩。”

可是找不到他们，就把耶森和几位弟兄拉到地方官们那里，喊叫说：“这些搅乱天下的，也来到这里，耶森竟接待了他们！这些人都违背了凯撒的谕令，说另外有一个王，就是耶稣。”

我们发现这个人像瘟疫一样，煽动普天下犹太人暴乱；他又是拿撒勒人教派的一个头目。他甚至试图玷污圣殿，我们就把他拘捕了。我们本来想按照我们的律法审判他，

实际上，你们当中必定也会有结派的事，好让那些经过考验的人在你们中间能显露出来。

但法利赛教派中的一些信徒站起来，说：“必须给外邦人行割礼，并吩咐他们遵守摩西的律法。”

于是大祭司就采取行动。他和所有与他在一起的人，就是撒都该教派的人，都满腔嫉妒，

他们从一开始就已经认识我，如果他们愿意就可以见证：我是按着我们宗教中最严格的教派，过着法利赛人的生活。
