葆樂曰：「予立於凱撒之法庭、即宜在此受審。予未嘗對猶太人行何不義、是亦汝所明知也。予苟行不義、而干死罪、死亦不恤；今彼等所控予者、悉非事實、則無人能以予之生命作為饋禮。予茲聲明上訴於凱撒！』非斯都與議會商酌後、答曰：『汝既上訴於凱撒、自當移解於凱撒！』

人以橫逆相加、望我兄弟無思自為報復、靜候天討可也。主不云乎、『報復乃吾之事也；賞善罰惡、有吾在焉。』故曰：『敵人飢則食之、渴則飲之、是不啻以烈火加厥頂。』慎勿為惡所勝、惟宜以善勝惡也。
