你們為我身體的緣故受試煉，沒有輕看我，也沒有厭棄我，反倒接待我，如同神的使者，如同基督耶穌。

我們從前就是到了馬其頓的時候，身體也不得安寧，周圍遭患難，外有爭戰，內有懼怕。但那安慰喪氣之人的神藉着提多來安慰了我們；不但藉着他來，也藉着他從你們所得的安慰，安慰了我們；因他把你們的想念、哀慟，和向我的熱心，都告訴了我，叫我更加歡喜。

所以，弟兄們，我們在一切困苦患難之中，因着你們的信心就得了安慰。

眼不能對手說：「我用不着你。」頭也不能對腳說：「我用不着你。」不但如此，身上肢體人以為軟弱的，更是不可少的。

大衛甚是焦急，因眾人為自己的兒女苦惱，說：「要用石頭打死他。」大衛卻倚靠耶和華－他的神，心裏堅固。

過了這幾天，我們就起身前行。他們眾人同妻子兒女，送我們到城外，我們都跪在岸上禱告，彼此辭別。

你們要記念被捆綁的人，好像與他們同受捆綁；也要記念遭苦害的人，想到自己也在肉身之內。

你當剛強壯膽！因為你必使這百姓承受那地為業，就是我向他們列祖起誓應許賜給他們的地。只要剛強，大大壯膽，謹守遵行我僕人摩西所吩咐你的一切律法，不可偏離左右，使你無論往哪裏去，都可以順利。
