The rest were to get there on planks or on other pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land safely.

“ For behold, I am commanding, And I will shake the house of Israel among all nations As grain is shaken in a sieve, But not a pebble will fall to the ground.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He guided them to their desired harbor.

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, of our affliction which occurred in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.Indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead,who rescued us from so great a danger of death, and will rescue us, He on whom we have set our hope. And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner?

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers,“ Unless these men remain on the ship, you yourselves cannot be saved.”
