The rest were to get there on planks or on other pieces of the ship. In this way everyone reached land safely.

予今仍勸汝等安心、汝等將無人失其生命、惟失此舟耳。

「葆樂勿畏、汝必得立於凱撒前；且與汝同舟共濟者、天主悉以賜汝矣。」

情急求主。轉危為安。狂風懾威。噤若寒蟬。駭浪順命。靜如蠶眠。既經風波。彌甘安恬。卒賴帝力。泊彼岸邊。

吾儕在亞西亞所遭遇之患難、不欲兄弟不之知也。當時吾儕所受之困阨、實非人力之所能當者、且自謂必不能倖免矣。然吾人之所以被處於絕境、以至於自分必死者、乃欲吾人勿恃本身之力量、而恃起死回生之天主耳。天主既脫吾儕於萬死、且至今猶時時予以保障、故吾儕將一切希望託付於主、深信其必保障到底。

若義人之蒙救、猶若是其難也；則悖逆不道之人、其將何地以自容耶？

葆樂語巴總及士卒曰：『舟人苟不留於舟中、則汝等必不能獲救。』
