他們禁止結婚，要求遠避某些食物，就是神所創造的，好讓信徒和了解真理的人以感謝的心享用。原來神所造的一切都是美好的；如果以感謝的心領受，就什麼也不用丟棄，

我也要在君王們面前說出你的法度，並不致蒙羞。

耶穌就吩咐眾人坐在地上，於是拿起這七個餅，祝謝以後，掰開，不斷遞給他的門徒們，讓他們分發。門徒們就分給眾人；

他們同心合意，不但天天恆切地在聖殿聚集，還在各家各戶掰餅。他們懷著喜樂和誠懇的心用飯，讚美神，並且得到全體民眾的喜愛。主就在那裡使得救的人與日俱增。

你們一進城就會遇見他——那時正是他登上高所用餐之前；民眾不會在他來到之前吃，一定要等他為祭物祝謝了才吃；之後客人才開始吃。現在上去吧，因為你們立刻就會遇見他。」

所以你不要以有關我們主的見證為恥，也不要以我——這主的囚犯為恥，而要藉著神的大能，為福音與我同受苦難。

耶穌就拿起餅來，祝謝以後，分給那些坐著的人，把魚也如此分了，他們要多少就給多少。

注重某一天的人，是為主而注重的；吃的人，是為主而吃的，因為他感謝神；不吃的人，也是為主不吃的，他也感謝神。

當耶穌與他們一同坐席的時候，他拿起餅來，祝福了，然後掰開遞給他們。

因這理由，我也正在經受這些苦；然而我並不以為恥，因為我知道我信的是誰，也深信他能保守我所受的託付，直到那日。

但如果有人因為是基督徒而受苦，他不應該感到羞恥，反要奉這名來榮耀神；

如果我懷著感恩的心領受，難道有什麼能使我為所感謝的東西而受到毀謗嗎？因此，你們無論或吃、或喝、或做什麼，一切都要為神的榮耀而做。
