主所爱的弟兄们哪，我们本该常为你们感谢上帝，因为他拣选你们为初熟的果子，使你们因信真道，又蒙圣灵感化成圣，得到拯救。为此，上帝藉着我们所传的福音呼召你们，好得着我们主耶稣基督的荣光。

众人已有好几天没有吃东西，保罗就出来站在他们中间，说：“诸位，你们本该听我的话不离开克里特岛，就不致遭到这样的损失和破坏。现在我劝你们放心，除了损失这条船，你们中间没有一人会丧失性命。因为昨夜，我所属所事奉的上帝的使者站在我旁边，说：‘保罗，不要害怕，你必定站在凯撒面前；并且上帝已把安全赐给与你同船的人了。’

马利亚对天使说：“我没有出嫁，怎么会有这事呢？”天使回答她说：“圣灵要临到你身上；至高者的能力要庇荫你，因此，那要出生的圣者要称为上帝的儿子。

因他要为你命令他的使者，在你所行的一切道路上保护你。他们要用手托住你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。

凡父所赐给我的人，必到我这里来；到我这里来的，我总不丢弃他。

那时，在你们四围其余的列国必知道，我—耶和华修造那毁坏之处，开垦那荒芜之地。我—耶和华说了这话，就必成就。“主耶和华如此说：我要回应以色列家的求问，成全他们，增添他们的人数，使他们多如羊群。

但百夫长信从船长和船主，不信保罗所说的。

士兵的意思要把囚犯都杀了，免得有游水脱逃的。但百夫长要救保罗，不准他们任意而行，就吩咐会游水的，跳下水去，先上岸；

我知道我向你们所怀的意念是赐平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们末后有指望。这是耶和华说的。你们呼求我，向我祷告，我就应允你们。你们寻求我，若专心寻求我，就必寻见。

魔鬼又领他到耶路撒冷去，叫他站在圣殿顶上，对他说：“你若是上帝的儿子，从这里跳下去！因为经上记着：‘主要为你命令他的使者保护你；他们要用手托住你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。’”耶稣回答他说：“经上说：‘不可试探主—你的上帝。’”
