主所爱的弟兄们哪，我们本该常为你们感谢神；因为他从起初拣选了你们，叫你们因信真道，又被圣灵感动，成为圣洁，能以得救。神藉我们所传的福音召你们到这地步，好得着我们主耶稣基督的荣光。

众人多日没有吃什么，保罗就出来站在他们中间，说：“众位，你们本该听我的话，不离开克里特，免得遭这样的伤损破坏。现在我还劝你们放心，你们的性命一个也不失丧，惟独失丧这船。因我所属所侍奉的神，他的使者昨夜站在我旁边，说：‘保罗，不要害怕，你必定站在凯撒面前，并且与你同船的人，神都赐给你了。’

马利亚对天使说：“我没有出嫁，怎么有这事呢？”天使回答说：“圣灵要临到你身上，至高者的能力要荫庇你，因此所要生的圣者必称为神的儿子。

因他要为你吩咐他的使者，在你行的一切道路上保护你。他们要用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。

凡父所赐给我的人必到我这里来；到我这里来的，我总不丢弃他。

那时，在你们四围其余的外邦人必知道我耶和华修造那毁坏之处，培植那荒废之地。我耶和华说过，也必成就。“主耶和华如此说：我要加增以色列家的人数，多如羊群。他们必为这事向我求问，我要给他们成就。

但百夫长信从掌船的和船主，不信从保罗所说的。

兵丁的意思要把囚犯杀了，恐怕有洑水脱逃的。但百夫长要救保罗，不准他们任意而行，就吩咐会洑水的，跳下水去先上岸；

耶和华说：我知道我向你们所怀的意念是赐平安的意念，不是降灾祸的意念，要叫你们末后有指望。你们要呼求我，祷告我，我就应允你们。你们寻求我，若专心寻求我，就必寻见。

魔鬼又领他到耶路撒冷去，叫他站在殿顶上，对他说：“你若是神的儿子，可以从这里跳下去；因为经上记着说：‘主要为你吩咐他的使者保护你；他们要用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。’”耶稣对他说：“经上说：‘不可试探主你的神。’”
