and said,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. It is necessary for you to appear before Caesar. And indeed, God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.’

and said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’

The angel said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul. You must go on trial in front of Caesar. God has shown his grace by sparing the lives of all those sailing with you.’

and he said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

and he said,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul, for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God in his goodness has granted safety to everyone sailing with you.’

saying,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has graciously granted you all those who are sailing with you.’

saying,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must stand before Cæsar: and lo, God hath granted thee all them that sail with thee.

and said,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. And, look! God has graciously given you all those who are sailing with you.’

Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

and said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’

saying,‘ Don’t be afraid, Paul. You must stand before Caesar. Behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said,“ Have courage! For as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so it is necessary for you to testify in Rome.”

At my first defense, no one stood by me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be counted against them.But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that I might fully preach the word and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth.

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Abraham stepped forward and said,“ Will you really sweep away the righteous with the wicked?What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away instead of sparing the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people who are in it?You could not possibly do such a thing: to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. You could not possibly do that! Won’t the Judge of the whole earth do what is just?”The LORD said,“ If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”Then Abraham answered,“ Since I have ventured to speak to my lord— even though I am dust and ashes—suppose the fifty righteous lack five. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?” He replied,“ I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”Then he spoke to him again,“ Suppose forty are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it on account of forty.”Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak further. Suppose thirty are found there?” He answered,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”Then he said,“ Since I have ventured to speak to my lord, suppose twenty are found there?” He replied,“ I will not destroy it on account of twenty.”Then he said,“ Let my lord not be angry, and I will speak one more time. Suppose ten are found there?” He answered,“ I will not destroy it on account of ten.”

So it was, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham and brought Lot out of the middle of the upheaval when he demolished the cities where Lot had lived.

In all there were 276 of us on the ship.

I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me and said,“ Don’t be afraid. I am the First and the Last,

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for this man is my chosen instrument to take my name to Gentiles, kings, and Israelites.

After these events, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield; your reward will be very great.

Elisha said,“ Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.”

Now this is what the LORD says— the one who created you, Jacob, and the one who formed you, Israel—“ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior. I have given Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.Because you are precious in my sight and honored, and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations instead of your life.Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west.

And he said to him,“ All right, I’ll grant your request about this matter too and will not demolish the town you mentioned.Hurry up! Run to it, for I cannot do anything until you get there.” Therefore the name of the city is Zoar.

Then the remnant of Jacob will be among many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyone or linger for mankind.

The rest were to follow, some on planks and some on debris from the ship. In this way, everyone safely reached the shore.

But Laban said to him,“ If I have found favor with you, stay. I have learned by divination that the LORD has blessed me because of you.”

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.

If then I did anything wrong and am deserving of death, I am not trying to escape death; but if there is nothing to what these men accuse me of, no one can give me up to them. I appeal to Caesar!”

The LORD will always lead you, satisfy you in a parched land, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring whose water never runs dry.Some of you will rebuild the ancient ruins; you will restore the foundations laid long ago; you will be called the repairer of broken walls, the restorer of streets where people live.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.Be sure that all who are enraged against you will be ashamed and disgraced; those who contend with you will become as nothing and will perish.You will look for those who contend with you, but you will not find them. Those who war against you will become absolutely nothing.For I am the LORD your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you,“ Do not fear, I will help you.Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel. I will help you”— this is the LORD’s declaration. Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

From the time that he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph. The LORD’s blessing was on all that he owned, in his house and in his fields.

The warden did not bother with anything under Joseph’s authority, because the LORD was with him, and the LORD made everything that he did successful.

“ Aren’t there twelve hours in a day?” Jesus answered.“ If anyone walks during the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

You will even be brought before governors and kings because of me, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles.

Then Elijah said to her,“ Don’t be afraid; go and do as you have said. But first make me a small loaf from it and bring it out to me. Afterward, you may make some for yourself and your son,

God said,“ I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.

If anyone wants to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies; if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.They have authority to close up the sky so that it does not rain during the days of their prophecy. They also have power over the waters to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with every plague whenever they want.When they finish their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war on them, conquer them, and kill them.

After these events, Paul resolved by the Spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem.“ After I’ve been there,” he said,“ It is necessary for me to see Rome as well.”

The Lord said to Paul in a night vision,“ Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city.”
