海里忽然起了暴风，甚至船被波浪掩盖；耶稣却睡着了。门徒来叫醒了他，说：“主啊，救我们，我们丧命啦！”

那时，你们与基督无关，在以色列国民以外，在所应许的诸约上是局外人，并且活在世上没有指望，没有神。

“那些日子的灾难一过去，日头就变黑了，月亮也不放光，众星要从天上坠落，天势都要震动。

他们问他说：“我们当向你怎样行，使海浪平静呢？”这话是因海浪越发翻腾。他对他们说：“你们将我抬起来，抛在海中，海就平静了；我知道你们遭这大风是因我的缘故。”然而那些人竭力荡桨，要把船拢岸，却是不能，因为海浪越发向他们翻腾。他们便求告耶和华说：“耶和华啊，我们恳求你，不要因这人的性命使我们死亡，不要使流无辜血的罪归与我们；因为你耶和华是随自己的意旨行事。”

被棍打了三次；被石头打了一次；遇着船坏三次，一昼一夜在深海里。

主对我说：“人子啊，这些骸骨就是以色列全家。他们说：‘我们的骨头枯干了，我们的指望失去了，我们灭绝净尽了。’

你因路远疲倦，却不说这是枉然；你以为有复兴之力，所以不觉疲惫。

论到睡了的人，我们不愿意弟兄们不知道，恐怕你们忧伤，像那些没有指望的人一样。

我说：‘你不要使脚上无鞋，喉咙干渴。’你倒说：‘这是枉然。我喜爱别神，我必随从他们。’”

耶和华对摩西说：“你向天伸杖，使埃及地黑暗；这黑暗似乎摸得着。”摩西向天伸杖，埃及遍地就乌黑了三天。三天之久，人不能相见，谁也不敢起来离开本处；惟有以色列人家中都有亮光。

然而耶和华使海中起大风，海就狂风大作，甚至船几乎破坏。

因他一吩咐，狂风就起来，海中的波浪也扬起。他们上到天空，下到海底；他们的心因患难便消化。他们摇摇晃晃，东倒西歪，好像醉酒的人；他们的智慧无法可施。

他命黑暗，就有黑暗；没有违背他话的。
