“各位，照我看来，如果我们继续航行，不只会损失货物和船只，甚至连我们的性命也难保。”

说：“各位，我看这次航行，不单货物和船只要遭到损失，大受破坏，连我们的性命也难保。”

说：“各位，我看这次航程，不仅是货物和船，就是我们的生命财产也将会受到伤害和严重的损失。”

諸君、我觀此次行舟、必多損害、不第舟與貨已也、且及我儕生命矣、

保羅告眾曰、我觀舟行、必多損害、不第舟與貨已也、且及我儕生命矣、

保羅勸眾曰、諸公、我觀此時航海、必多損害、不第舟與貨、且及我生命矣、

『諸君、予觀此次航行、不惟船貨俱損、即吾儕之生命亦恐難保。』

“ Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I can see that our trip is going to be dangerous. The ship and everything in it will be lost. Our own lives will be in danger also.”

saying,“ Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I believe there is trouble ahead if we go on— shipwreck, loss of cargo, and danger to our lives as well.”

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward disaster and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

saying to them,“ Men, I perceive that the voyage will certainly be with damage and great loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

saying,“ Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.”

and said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the lading and the ship, but also of our lives.

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward damage and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

But they encountered a patch of crosscurrents and ran the ship aground; the bow stuck fast and could not be moved, but the stern was being broken up by the force of the waves.Now the soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners so that none of them would escape by swimming away.But the centurion, wanting to save Paul’s life, prevented them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land,and the rest were to follow, some on planks and some on pieces of the ship. And in this way all were brought safely to land.

As for me, this mystery was revealed to me not because I possess more wisdom than any other living person, but so that the king may understand the interpretation and comprehend the thoughts of your mind.

So Pharaoh asked his officials,“ Can we find a man like Joseph, one in whom the Spirit of God is present?”So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Because God has enabled you to know all this, there is no one as wise and discerning as you are!

Certainly the sovereign LORD does nothing without first revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

The LORD’s loyal followers receive his guidance, and he reveals his covenantal demands to them.

But the prophet sent this message to the king of Israel,“ Make sure you don’t pass through this place because Syria is invading there.”So the king of Israel sent a message to the place the prophet had pointed out, warning it to be on its guard. This happened on several occasions.

Joseph replied to Pharaoh,“ It is not within my power, but God will speak concerning the welfare of Pharaoh.”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ In my dream I was standing by the edge of the Nile.Then seven fat and fine-looking cows were coming up out of the Nile, and they grazed in the reeds.Then seven other cows came up after them; they were scrawny, very bad-looking, and lean. I had never seen such bad-looking cows as these in all the land of Egypt!The lean, bad-looking cows ate up the seven fat cows.When they had eaten them, no one would have known that they had done so, for they were just as bad-looking as before. Then I woke up.I also saw in my dream seven heads of grain growing on one stalk, full and good.Then seven heads of grain, withered and thin and burned with the east wind, were sprouting up after them.The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads of grain. So I told all this to the diviner-priests, but no one could tell me its meaning.”Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and a violent storm continued to batter us, we finally abandoned all hope of being saved.Since many of them had no desire to eat, Paul stood up among them and said,“ Men, you should have listened to me and not put out to sea from Crete, thus avoiding this damage and loss.And now I advise you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship will be lost.For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve came to meand said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul! You must stand before Caesar, and God has graciously granted you the safety of all who are sailing with you.’Therefore keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will be just as I have been told.But we must run aground on some island.”

Therefore I urge you to take some food, for this is important for your survival. For not one of you will lose a hair from his head.”

And if the righteous are barely saved, what will become of the ungodly and sinners?

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers,“ Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.”
