『諸君、予觀此次航行、不惟船貨俱損、即吾儕之生命亦恐難保。』

“ Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I can see that our trip is going to be dangerous. The ship and everything in it will be lost. Our own lives will be in danger also.”

saying,“ Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I believe there is trouble ahead if we go on— shipwreck, loss of cargo, and danger to our lives as well.”

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward disaster and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

saying,“ Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.”

and said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the lading and the ship, but also of our lives.

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward damage and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

“ Men, I can see the voyage is going to end in disaster and great loss not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

and said to them,“ Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

But they struck a reef where two seas met and ran the ship aground; and the prow stuck firmly and remained immovable, while the stern started to break up due to the force of the waves.The soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners, so that none of them would swim away and escape;but the centurion, wanting to bring Paul safely through, kept them from accomplishing their intention, and commanded that those who could swim were to jump overboard first and get to land,and the rest were to follow, some on planks, and others on various things from the ship. And so it happened that they all were brought safely to land.

But as for me, this secret has not been revealed to me for any wisdom residing in me more than in any other living person, but for the purpose of making the interpretation known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.

Then Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find a man like this, in whom there is a divine spirit?”So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you are.

Certainly the Lord God does nothing Unless He reveals His secret plan To His servants the prophets.

The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

But the man of God sent word to the king of Israel, saying,“ Be careful that you do not pass this place, because the Arameans are coming down there.”And the king of Israel sent scouts to the place about which the man of God had told him; so he warned him, so that he was on his guard there, more than once or twice.

Joseph then answered Pharaoh, saying,“ It has nothing to do with me; God will give Pharaoh an answer for his own good.”So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ In my dream, there I was, standing on the bank of the Nile;and behold, seven cows, fat and fine looking came up out of the Nile, and they grazed in the marsh grass.Then behold, seven other cows came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I had never seen for ugliness in all the land of Egypt;and the thin and ugly cows ate the first seven fat cows.Yet when they had devoured them, it could not be detected that they had devoured them, for they were just as ugly as before. Then I awoke.I saw also in my dream, and behold, seven ears of grain, full and good, came up on a single stalk;and behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and scorched by the east wind sprouted up after them;and the thin ears swallowed the seven good ears. Then I told it to the soothsayer priests, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”And Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ Pharaoh’s dreams are one and the same; God has told to Pharaoh what He is about to do.

Since neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small storm was assailing us, from then on all hope of our being saved was slowly abandoned.When many had lost their appetites, Paul then stood among them and said,“ Men, you should have followed my advice and not have set sail from Crete, and thereby spared yourselves this damage and loss.And yet now I urge you to keep up your courage, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong, whom I also serve, came to me,saying,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar; and behold, God has graciously granted you all those who are sailing with you.’Therefore, keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will turn out exactly as I have been told.But we must run aground on a certain island.”

Therefore, I encourage you to take some food, for this is for your survival, for not a hair from the head of any of you will perish.”

And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, what will become of the godless man and the sinner?

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers,“ Unless these men remain on the ship, you yourselves cannot be saved.”
