保羅告眾曰、我觀舟行、必多損害、不第舟與貨已也、且及我儕生命矣、

『諸君、予觀此次航行、不惟船貨俱損、即吾儕之生命亦恐難保。』

“ Men, I can see that our voyage is going to be disastrous and bring great loss to ship and cargo, and to our own lives also.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I can see that our trip is going to be dangerous. The ship and everything in it will be lost. Our own lives will be in danger also.”

“ Men,” he said,“ I believe there is trouble ahead if we go on— shipwreck, loss of cargo, and danger to our lives as well.”

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward disaster and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

saying to them,“ Men, I perceive that the voyage will certainly be with damage and great loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

saying,“ Men, I perceive that this voyage will end with disaster and much loss, not only of the cargo and ship, but also our lives.”

and said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the lading and the ship, but also of our lives.

and told them,“ Men, I can see that this voyage is headed toward damage and heavy loss, not only of the cargo and the ship but also of our lives.”

And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.

“ Men, I can see the voyage is going to end in disaster and great loss not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

and said to them,“ Sirs, I perceive that the voyage will be with injury and much loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.”

But striking a reef, they ran the vessel aground. The bow stuck and remained immovable, and the stern was being broken up by the surf.The soldiers’ plan was to kill the prisoners, lest any should swim away and escape.But the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from carrying out their plan. He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and make for the land,and the rest on planks or on pieces of the ship. And so it was that all were brought safely to land.

But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.

And Pharaoh said to his servants,“ Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God?”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are.

“ For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.

The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.

But the man of God sent word to the king of Israel,“ Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are going down there.”And the king of Israel sent to the place about which the man of God told him. Thus he used to warn him, so that he saved himself there more than once or twice.

Joseph answered Pharaoh,“ It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.”Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Behold, in my dream I was standing on the banks of the Nile.Seven cows, plump and attractive, came up out of the Nile and fed in the reed grass.Seven other cows came up after them, poor and very ugly and thin, such as I had never seen in all the land of Egypt.And the thin, ugly cows ate up the first seven plump cows,but when they had eaten them no one would have known that they had eaten them, for they were still as ugly as at the beginning. Then I awoke.I also saw in my dream seven ears growing on one stalk, full and good.Seven ears, withered, thin, and blighted by the east wind, sprouted after them,and the thin ears swallowed up the seven good ears. And I told it to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.”Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.

When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope of our being saved was at last abandoned.Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul stood up among them and said,“ Men, you should have listened to me and not have set sail from Crete and incurred this injury and loss.Yet now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship,and he said,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.’So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told.But we must run aground on some island.”

Therefore I urge you to take some food. For it will give you strength, for not a hair is to perish from the head of any of you.”

And“ If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers,“ Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”
