从前我自己以为应当多方攻击拿撒勒人耶稣的名，

從前我自己以為應當多方攻擊拿撒勒人耶穌的名，

予初亦以納匝勒人耶穌之名、應多方加以抨擊；

“ I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

In fact, I myself was convinced that it was necessary to do many things in opposition to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“ So I thought to myself that I had to act in strong opposition to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“ Indeed, I myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

I verily thought with myself that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

In fact, I myself supposed it was necessary to do many things in opposition to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Of course, I myself was convinced that it was necessary to do many things hostile to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

“ I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. (niv)

“‘ Who are you, Lord?’ I asked.“‘ I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied. (niv)

They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. (niv)

“ We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect (niv)

For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. (niv)

as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless. (niv)

They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me. (niv)

For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. (niv)

Then Paul answered,“ Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” (niv)
