I verily thought with myself that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

从前我自己以为应当多方攻击拿撒勒人耶稣的名，

“从前我自己认为必须竭力反对拿撒勒人耶稣的名，

“从前我自己认为必须竭力反对拿撒勒人耶稣的名，

我自己也曾经认为应该尽一切可能反对拿撒勒人耶稣。

从前，我也认为应该多方敌对拿撒勒人耶稣的名。

事实上，我自己曾经认为必须多做反对拿撒勒人耶稣之名的事，

從前我自己以為應當多方攻擊拿撒勒人耶穌的名，

「從前我自己認為必須竭力反對拿撒勒人耶穌的名，

「從前我自己認為必須竭力反對拿撒勒人耶穌的名，

我自己也曾經認為應該盡一切可能反對拿撒勒人耶穌。

從前，我也認為應該多方敵對拿撒勒人耶穌的名。

『我本人、從前也以為應當作許多事來反對拿撒勒人耶穌的名。

事實上，我自己曾經認為必須多做反對拿撒勒人耶穌之名的事，

昔我意謂拿撒勒耶穌之名、當多方攻之、

昔我於拿撒勒耶穌名、以為當多方攻之、

昔我亦以為拿撒勒耶穌之名、當多方攻之、

予初亦以納匝勒人耶穌之名、應多方加以抨擊；

“ I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“ I believed that I should oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth. So I did everything I could to oppose his name.

“ I myself was convinced that I ought to do many things in opposing the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“ I used to believe that I ought to do everything I could to oppose the very name of Jesus the Nazarene.

In fact, I myself was convinced that it was necessary to do many things in opposition to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“ So I thought to myself that I had to act in strong opposition to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

“ Indeed, I myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

In fact, I myself supposed it was necessary to do many things in opposition to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Of course, I myself was convinced that it was necessary to do many things hostile to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

“ I myself most certainly thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

though I was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: howbeit I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief;

And I answered, Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest.

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

For ye have heard of my manner of life in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and made havoc of it:and I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of mine own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.

But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

Then Paul answered, What do ye, weeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have, that give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.

for I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name’s sake.
