After they left the room, they began saying to one another,“ This man is not doing anything that deserves death or imprisonment.”

They left the room and began to talk with one another.“ Why should this man die or be put in prison?” they said.“ He has done nothing worthy of that!”

And when they had withdrawn, they said to one another,“ This man is doing nothing to deserve death or imprisonment.”

As they went out, they talked it over and agreed,“ This man hasn’t done anything to deserve death or imprisonment.”

and when they had left they talked with each other and said,“ This man is not doing anything to deserve death or imprisonment.”

and when they had gone out, they began talking to one another, saying,“ This man is not doing anything deserving death or imprisonment.”

and when they had gone aside, they talked among themselves, saying,“ This man is doing nothing deserving of death or chains.”

and when they had withdrawn, they spake one to another, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

and when they had left they talked with each other and said,“ This man is doing nothing that deserves death or chains.”

And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.

and as they were leaving they said to one another,“ This man is not doing anything deserving death or imprisonment.”

When they had withdrawn, they spoke to one another, saying,“ This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.”

我发现他被控告，与他们律法上的争议问题有关，并没有任何该死或该被捆锁的罪行。

于是他们大大地喧嚷起来。有些法利赛派的经文士们站起来激烈地争辩，说：“我们查不出这个人有什么错。也许有灵或天使对他说过话呢！”

他们审问我以后，因为没有处死我的任何理由，本来想要释放我。

你们如果因基督的名受责骂，就是蒙福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，住在你们身上。你们当中不可有人因杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦；但如果有人因为是基督徒而受苦，他不应该感到羞耻，反要奉这名来荣耀神；

对他们说：“你们把这个人带到我这里来，说他是误导民众造反的。看，我已经当着你们的面审问了他，在他身上却一点也查不出你们所控告的罪。其实希律也查不出来，所以把他送回给我们。看，他没有做过什么该死的事。

不过要以温柔、敬畏的心答复，并且持守无愧的良心，以致谁诋毁你们在基督里的良好品行，谁就要在你们受到诽谤的事上蒙羞。

但是我了解他并没有犯过什么该死的罪，不过他自己既然向皇帝上诉了，我就决定把他解送去。

彼拉多对祭司长们和众人说：“我查不出这个人有什么罪。”
