然予托天主佑、至今猶屹立無恙、向天下生靈、無分貴賤大小、而作證焉。所陳者莫非古先知與摩西預言必成之事、

However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets, (niv)

Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead.But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe. (niv)

While they were trying to kill him, news reached the commander of the Roman troops that the whole city of Jerusalem was in an uproar.He at once took some officers and soldiers and ran down to the crowd. When the rioters saw the commander and his soldiers, they stopped beating Paul.The commander came up and arrested him and ordered him to be bound with two chains. Then he asked who he was and what he had done. (niv)

If the Lord had not been on our side— let Israel say—if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us,they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us; (niv)

You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, (niv)

You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance. (niv)

The centurion said,“ Paul, the prisoner, sent for me and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”The commander took the young man by the hand, drew him aside and asked,“ What is it you want to tell me?”He said:“ Some Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul before the Sanhedrin tomorrow on the pretext of wanting more accurate information about him.Don’t give in to them, because more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him. They have taken an oath not to eat or drink until they have killed him. They are ready now, waiting for your consent to their request.”The commander dismissed the young man with this warning:“ Don’t tell anyone that you have reported this to me.” (niv)

He is the God who avenges me, who subdues nations under me, (niv)

And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our ancestors that I am on trial today. (niv)

Peter said to Jesus,“ Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters— one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” (niv)

On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way. (niv)

The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks.The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said,“ Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” (niv)

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying,“ Thus far the Lord has helped us.” (niv)

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. (niv)

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. (niv)

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. (niv)

You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.“ And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me— the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.“ Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you.For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. (niv)

He told them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, (niv)

They arranged to meet Paul on a certain day, and came in even larger numbers to the place where he was staying. He witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the kingdom of God, and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets he tried to persuade them about Jesus. (niv)

I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them (niv)

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.” (niv)

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision:“ Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.” (niv)

Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.For Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from their people.’“ Indeed, beginning with Samuel, all the prophets who have spoken have foretold these days. We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself.Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, (niv)

The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small— and for destroying those who destroy the earth.” (niv)

But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (niv)

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. (niv)

persecutions, sufferings— what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. (niv)
