But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen—

然予托天主佑、至今猶屹立無恙、向天下生靈、無分貴賤大小、而作證焉。所陳者莫非古先知與摩西預言必成之事、

But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen—

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place,

“ But I admit that I follow the Way, which they call a cult. I worship the God of our ancestors, and I firmly believe the Jewish law and everything written in the prophets.

Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Then he said,“ When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me.

He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.”

And they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb:“ Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.

Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.Yes, they surrounded and attacked me, but I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.They swarmed around me like bees; they blazed against me like a crackling fire. But I destroyed them all with the authority of the Lord.My enemies did their best to kill me, but the Lord rescued me.

Then some Jews arrived from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowds to their side. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of town, thinking he was dead.But as the believers gathered around him, he got up and went back into the town. The next day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.

As they were trying to kill him, word reached the commander of the Roman regiment that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.He immediately called out his soldiers and officers and ran down among the crowd. When the mob saw the commander and the troops coming, they stopped beating Paul.Then the commander arrested him and ordered him bound with two chains. He asked the crowd who he was and what he had done.

What if the Lord had not been on our side? Let all Israel repeat:What if the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us?They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger.

“ You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!

Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

“ But Abraham said,‘ Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.’“ The rich man replied,‘ No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’“ But Abraham said,‘ If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him,“ We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth.”

But Paul’s nephew— his sister’s son— heard of their plan and went to the fortress and told Paul.Paul called for one of the Roman officers and said,“ Take this young man to the commander. He has something important to tell him.”So the officer did, explaining,“ Paul, the prisoner, called me over and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”The commander took his hand, led him aside, and asked,“ What is it you want to tell me?”Paul’s nephew told him,“ Some Jews are going to ask you to bring Paul before the high council tomorrow, pretending they want to get some more information.But don’t do it! There are more than forty men hiding along the way ready to ambush him. They have vowed not to eat or drink anything until they have killed him. They are ready now, just waiting for your consent.”“ Don’t let anyone know you told me this,” the commander warned the young man.

He is the God who pays back those who harm me; he subdues the nations under me

Now I am on trial because of my hope in the fulfillment of God’s promise made to our ancestors.

Peter exclaimed,“ Lord, it’s wonderful for us to be here! If you want, I’ll make three shelters as memorials— one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said,“ This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”

We broke camp at the Ahava Canal on April 19 and started off to Jerusalem. And the gracious hand of our God protected us and saved us from enemies and bandits along the way.

As the conflict grew more violent, the commander was afraid they would tear Paul apart. So he ordered his soldiers to go and rescue him by force and take him back to the fortress.That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said,“ Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.”

Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer( which means“ the stone of help”), for he said,“ Up to this point the Lord has helped us!”

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening.Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago.

I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes.I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike— the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.“ And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me,except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead.But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus— the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.“ And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again.I declare today that I have been faithful. If anyone suffers eternal death, it’s not my fault,for I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know.

And he said,“ Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.

So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul’s lodging. He explained and testified about the Kingdom of God and tried to persuade them about Jesus from the Scriptures. Using the law of Moses and the books of the prophets, he spoke to them from morning until evening.

And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles

And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him,“ Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me.”

For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets.Moses said,‘ The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your own people. Listen carefully to everything he tells you.’Then Moses said,‘ Anyone who will not listen to that Prophet will be completely cut off from God’s people.’“ Starting with Samuel, every prophet spoke about what is happening today.

We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead.And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

The nations were filled with wrath, but now the time of your wrath has come. It is time to judge the dead and reward your servants the prophets, as well as your holy people, and all who fear your name, from the least to the greatest. It is time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth.”

But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength so that I might preach the Good News in its entirety for all the Gentiles to hear. And he rescued me from certain death.Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen.

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra— but the Lord rescued me from all of it.
